A Survey of the Current Situation of Affinity and Appeal in Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities Under the Background of High-quality Development: An Empirical Analysis Based on Universities in Northern Jiangsu Province

At the new stage of China’s high-quality economic and social development, enhancing the affinity and appeal of college ideological and political education has become a core issue to improve its quality and efficiency. This study conducted a questionnaire survey among 1,500 students and in-depth interviews with 50 ideological and political teachers from 5 different types of colleges (comprehensive, science and technology, higher vocational) in northern Jiangsu, using a self-designed evaluation scale and SPSS 26.0 for data analysis. The results reveal the overall level, group differences and prominent problems of the affinity and appeal, and analyze the causes from subjective cognition, objective environment and institutional mechanisms. Targeted strategies such as precision education, resource integration and mechanism optimization are proposed to provide practical references for the high-quality development of ideological and political education in colleges.
