The Value and Legal Path of Ecological Civilization Education

As the core carrier for disseminating Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and promoting the construction of ecological civilization, ecological civilization education holds an irreplaceable value in addressing global environmental challenges and facilitating the building of a Beautiful China. This paper elaborates on the value connotation of ecological civilization education from three dimensions: ethics, society, and individuals. In constructing the legal path, with socialism with Chinese characteristics as the ideological foundation and Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization as the fundamental guideline, this paper proposes establishing a hierarchical legal system dominated by the Education Code, based on environmental protection-related laws, centered on the Ecological Civilization Education Law, and supported by local regulations. This aims to realize the legalized and standardized development of ecological civilization education, providing solid support for building a powerful education country and the sustainable development of the Chinese nation.
