REFRACTORY CYTOPENIA OF CHILDHOOD WITH NORMAL KARYOTYPE: LONG-TERM RESULTS OF AN OBSERVATIONAL APPROACH

Background: Refractory Cytopenia of Childhood (RCC) is a well-recognized form of bone marrow failure, characterized by persistent cytopenia, dysplastic changes, and a distinct histopathologic pattern in the bone marrow. While hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is typically indicated for patients with severe cytopenia or an abnormal karyotype, a subset of RCC patients may be suitable for an observational approach.
