Characteristics of thermal and physical properties of bituminous coal at different pre-oxidation temperatures

The thermal properties of coal significantly influence its thermal transmission process. In this study, the change laws of various levels of preoxidised coal within the range of temperature from 300 K–570 K and the temperature sensitivity of the thermal property parameters were measured via an LF457 laser thermal conductivity instrument. Then, the level of correlation between the industrial analysis index of the coal sample and thermal property coefficient was determined. Experimental findings indicate that the thermal diffusion coefficients of preoxidised coal and raw coal at distinct temperatures declined as temperature rose within 300 K to 570 K, whereas both specific heat capacity and thermal conductivity underwent an initial rise, followed by a gradual leveling off. Moreover, the sensitivity of the all coal samples to the thermophysical parameters continued to decrease, the correlations between ash and the thermal diffusion coefficient and specific heat capacity of coal were the greatest.
