Formula feeding knowledge, practice, and associated factors among mothers visiting public hospitals with infants under six months in Southwest, Ethiopia, 2022
In this study, nearly greater than one third of the study participant were practice formula feeding. Being a government employee, cesarean mode of delivery, and pre-lacteal feeding were significantly associated with formula-feeding practices. Therefore, educating mothers about the importance of breastfeeding and providing support for mothers giving birth through a cesarean mode of delivery to promote exclusive breastfeeding should be prioritized at both community and institutional levels.
