Chains Converge into Towers: Exploring New Trends in Supply Chain Development

This paper takes Lenovo Group's Supply Chain Intelligence Control Tower (hereinafter referred to as "SCI") as a case study to conduct an in-depth exploration of the synergistic effects of various emerging technologies such as generative AI, blockchain, and digital twins in the supply chain domain. It further investigates the new trend of supply chain evolution from linear to tower-type structures. Through meticulous analysis of SCI's operational logic and multi-dimensional quantitative evaluations including supply chain resilience index and green supply chain index, the effectiveness of the SCI system has been comprehensively verified. The research demonstrates that supply chain control towers exhibit comprehensive and integrated advantages in enhancing supply chain performance, making them a promising focal direction for supply chain transformation.
