Core–shell structured PtCu/C applied in a high-temperature direct ethanol electroreformer to produce green H 2 at reduced energy demand with high CO 2 selectivity: performance and techno-economic analyses
Core–shell Pt x Cu@Pt y Cu/C ( y ≫ x ) catalysts have proven to be effective for producing green H 2 from a high-temperature PEM ethanol electroreformer with higher CO 2 selectivity and lower energy demand, potentially competing with PEM water electrolysis.
