Efficacy Of Local Therapy Combined Laser In Olp With Periodontitis
This trial evaluated combined therapies (local medication, periodontal treatment, triamcinolone acetonide injections, 440nm blue-light laser) for Oral Lichen Planus(OLP) with periodontal disease, aiming to refine the treatment of oral lichen planus with periodontitis and to provide new directions for future protocols for OLP with periodontitis. A total of 120 eligible patients were randomized into four groups: Group A: Basic periodontal therapy + Kangfuxin Liquid oral rinse + topical bovine alkaline fibroblast growth factor gel Group B: Group A protocol + triamcinolone acetonide local injections Group C: Group A protocol + 440 nm blue light semiconductor laser Group D: Basic periodontal therapy + triamcinolone acetonide injections + 440 nm laser Follow-ups were conducted at 1, 3, and 6 months post-treatment. Clinical parameters included erosion area, VAS pain scores, healing time, and recurrence rates. At 1 month, Group D showed the most significant erosion area reduction (0.01±0.04, P<0.01), Lowest VAS scores (6.00 vs. 8.00 in Group A and 9.00 in Group C, P<0.01) and Shortest healing time (15.43±2.06 days) At 6 months, Group D achieved 0% recurrence, Groups B and C exhibited extended recurrence-free periods (170.60±7.37 and 166.5±8.50 days, respectively; P < 0.05). The combined therapy (local medication + periodontal therapy + triamcinolone injections + 440 nm laser) demonstrated optimal efficacy in erosion reduction, pain relief, accelerated healing, and recurrence prevention, highlighting the superiority of multimodal intervention.
