Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis Of Removable Partial Denture
To compare the effects of titanium alloy, cobalt-chromium alloy, Vitallium 2000, peek material on abutment and mucosa, and analyze the mechanical effects of different materials on abutment and mucosa by three-dimensional finite element method, and to provide reference and guidance for clinical design and material selection of removable dentures. A patient with posterior free tooth deletion 26 and 27 was selected, and the 3D ConebeamCT (CBCT) data were extracted. The dentition and jaw model were separated and trimmed, and the removable partial denture (RPD) stent was designed by the patient's oral scan model. Finally, the models were matched. The effects of KennedyI RPD designed with pure titanium, Vitallium 2000 and peek materials on abutment and mucosa were analyzed after 3D finite element model was established and material mechanical parameters were obtained. According to the RPD design and analysis of this case model, it can be concluded that the abutment displacement, mucosal displacement and scaffold displacement of Vitallium 2000 are smaller than that of pure titanium and Peek materials. Among them, the mucosal displacement, scaffold displacement and mucosal stress of pure titanium and Vitallium 2000 were significantly smaller than those of Peek materials. The force of Peek materials is less than that of pure titanium and Vitallium 2000. RPD scaffolds with the same design and different materials will affect the mechanical effects of abutments, periodontal membranes and mucous membranes. With the increase of elastic modulus, the displacement value is smaller and the stress distribution is more uniform.
