Experimental Study On Bone Augmentation Using Bto/Pla Composites
To prepare a 3D-printed BTO/PLA composite scaffold, implant it into rat femoral condyle defects to verify its promotion of bone defect healing. Additionally, investigate the influence of piezoelectric scaffolds with different spatial heights on bone volume increase, providing novel therapeutic concepts and robust experimental data to support the clinical application of piezoelectric materials in bone augmentation therapy. Experiment 1 BTO/PLA composite scaffolds were prepared using 3D printing technology and freeze-drying methods. BTO/PLA powders were infused into 3D-printed models at different ratios. Experiment 2 The biocompatibility of BTO/PLA composite scaffolds was evaluated using MC3T3-E1 cells. Cells were cultured and assessed via CCK-8 assays and live-dead staining, with qualitative and quantitative analyses. Experiment 3 The effect of different heights of BTO/PLA scaffolds on bone volume increase was investigated under polarization conditions. Scaffolds were implanted into surface defects of SD rats, and samples were collected at 4 and 12 weeks. Experiment 1 demonstrated that 20% BTO/PLA had the best physicochemical properties. Experiment 2 showed that BTO/PLA had good cell compatibility and proliferation ability. Experiment 3 indicated that the bone augmentation effect of 1 mm polarized BTO/PLA was optimal. The BTO/PLA bone scaffold has the potential to induce bone augmentation, providing experimental evidence for dental implantation.
