Application Of Humanistic Care Nursing In Patients With RPD Repair

To explore the application of humanistic care nursing in the digital RPD repair treatment of elderly patients. Study Subject Selection: A total of 200 patients with dentition defects requiring RPD restoration treatment, who were admitted to the Geriatric Dental Care Center from December 2023 to October 2024, were selected as study subjects. The entire process of nursing care during diagnosis and treatment, digital methods (3Shape TRIOS) for intraoral impression taking, and other techniques were applied. The subjects were divided into a control group (n = 110) and an experimental group (n = 90) based on different nursing measures. The control group received basic routine care, while the experimental group received additional humanistic care in addition to basic routine care. Statistical analysis was conducted on adverse issues such as lack of health education and discomfort during impression taking, as well as satisfaction with nursing services, that occurred during the diagnosis and treatment process in both groups. The current problems are significantly fewer than those in the control group (p<0.05), and the satisfaction is significantly higher than that in the control group (p<0.05). Incorporating humanistic care nursing into the process of digital RPD repair therapy for elderly patients can significantly reduce the incidence of adverse problems and further improve the satisfaction of elderly patients.
