Digital-Guided Bone Augmentation And Aesthetic Stability
Digital-Guided Bone Augmentation And Aesthetic Stability A 33-year-old female presented with missing tooth #11 (maxillary right central incisor) 1.5 months post-extraction, seeking implant restoration. Clinical examination revealed moderate alveolar ridge deficiency (5 mm bucco-lingual width, 17 mm vertical bone height) with labial contour concavity on CBCT. Adjacent tooth #21 had a non-vital residual root. For patients presenting with severe bone defects in the anterior region, a comprehensive digital three-dimensional reconstruction protocol was implemented to optimize implant planning and aesthetic outcomes. Preoperatively, cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) data were utilized to simulate the bone arch contour and design a safe implant trajectory avoiding perforation of the labial bone plate. A computer-guided surgical template was employed for precise osteotomy positioning during implant placement, accompanied by simultaneous bone augmentation procedures. During the prosthetic phase, a natural transition between the crown and gingival tissue was achieved through meticulous soft tissue management One-year postoperative follow-up demonstrated stable bone volume maintenance and sustained aesthetic harmony. This digital workflow, integrated throughout the diagnostic, surgical, and restorative phases, ensured accurate control of implant positioning and predictable bone regeneration. The technology-driven approach maximizes long-term aesthetic stability while providing a reliable solution for complex alveolar defect rehabilitation, demonstrating successful integration of digital planning, guided surgery, and biologically driven tissue reconstruction.
