Preparation And Evaluation Of Zinc Phosphate Coating On Dental Tzp

A zinc phosphate (ZnP) coating was fabricated on TZP ceramics via hydrothermal treatment to investigate its mechanical properties and bioactivity, aiming to enhance its potential as a dental implant material. The phosphating solution was prepared using zinc oxide, phosphoric acid, and nitric acid as raw materials, followed by the formation of a zinc phosphate (ZnP) coating on TZP via hydrothermal method. The coating characteristics were analyzed by XRD, SEM, EDS, XPS, FTIR, laser confocal microscopy, and contact angle measurements. Mechanical properties were evaluated using a universal testing machine and scratch tester. Cell viability was assessed via CCK-8 assay, while osteogenic differentiation was examined through ALP and ARS staining. Finally, antibacterial performance was determined by colony counting. 1.As the hydrothermal temperature and duration increased, the zinc phosphate (ZnP) coating formed on 3Y-TZP gradually thickened. Although the mechanical properties slightly declined, its aging resistance significantly improved. 2.The ZnP coating demonstrated excellent cytocompatibility, promoting cell proliferation, osteogenic differentiation, and mineralization in vitro. 3.The ZnP coating exhibited strong antibacterial effects against both S. aureus and E. coli. The zinc phosphate (ZnP) coating demonstrates excellent biocompatibility, mechanical properties, and aging resistance, effectively promoting cell proliferation and osteogenesis. With its remarkable antibacterial performance and biosafety, this coating provides a novel strategy for enhancing the biological properties of TZP ceramics.
