Caring With Heart, Smiling Without Barriers

Children under 3 and those with special needs face treatment fear (cognitive limitations), motor control difficulties, and parental anxiety in dental care. Our team innovatively developed a"deep sedation + whole-process comfort" protocol, completing200+ complex casesin two years while redefining compassionate pediatric dental experiences. This program aims toeliminate children's treatment fears through home-clinic integration. Pre-treatment trust-building via gamified education (picture books/toys) and parental psychological support; intra-treatment multisensory comfort (starry projections/music vests), FLACC-scale monitoring, and parent companionship; post-treatment continuity of care with growth records and follow-ups. By innovatively integratingart therapy (sandplay/puppet shows)and athree-stage emotional guidance model, medical procedures are transformed into growth rituals. Through the clinical-family-caregiver collaboration system, achieve a 98.5% treatment completion rate, a complication rate of only 0.7%, and an intervention interruption rate of 0.8%. Simultaneously attain a 96.2% satisfaction rate, 89% family follow-up cooperation rate, and a 40% anxiety relief rate. Combined with art therapy and the three-stage emotional model, 53 thank-you letters validate the new model of humanistic pediatrics. The application of multi-dimensional comfort-oriented technical approaches combined with humanistic care can significantly improve the efficacy of oral treatment for children with special needs.
