A Case Of Digital Implant Restoration After Onlay Bone Grafting

The patient underwent mandibular digital implant restoration treatment, including Onlay bone grafting, digital implant surgery and digitally designed restorations, culminating in a crown restoration. Chief Complaint: lower anterior teeth missing for 6 months. Medical history: The patient had multiple mandibular anterior teeth extracted 6 months ago due to a mandibular cyst, and requested implant restoration. Physical examination: teeth #33-42 missing, low alveolar ridge in the area of the missing teeth. cbct showed: bone width of about 3mm in the area of the missing teeth #33-42. Treatment: 6 months after Onlay implantation of lower anterior teeth, mandibular digital implant surgery was performed, preoperative CBCT and oral scanning data were used to design the implant program, crown restoration was performed 6 months after implantation, the restoration process used an intraoral scanner, an electronic arch, and ICam4D to obtain the data of the oral and maxillofacial hard and soft tissues, and the final mandibular restoration was performed in teeth #31-43LAVA with a single crown and in teeth #32, 33LAVA single crown restoration. This case solved the problem of insufficient bone volume of the lower anterior teeth through Onlay bone grafting and digital implant restoration technology, realized the functional and aesthetic restoration. Onlay bone grafting was able to provide sufficient bone support for the implant, while digital implant surgery improved the precise control of three-dimensional space during surgery. In addition, the application of digital technology improved the accuracy of the restoration design and optimized the occlusal function and aesthetic results.
