3D-Printed Fenestration Guides For Impacted Tooth Orthodontics
This study reports and discusses the use of 3D-printed digital fenestration guides for the surgical exposure of impacted teeth under digital guidance. Ten patients requiring fenestration and traction of impacted teeth were selected from the First and Second Departments of Orthodontics at the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Guizhou Medical University between October 2017 and May 2023. 3D-printed digital fenestration guides were designed and applied in these cases. The use of 3D-printed digital fenestration guides reduced surgical trauma, shortened operation time, and improved the precision of fenestration positioning. 3D-printed digital fenestration guides serve as an effective auxiliary tool in orthodontic surgical exposure of impacted teeth, demonstrating significant clinical value and potential for broader application.
