Biomimetic Li2si2o5 Composites With High Energy Absorption Via Vat Photopolymerization
This study aims to achieve the preservation of residual roots and crowns, along with minimally invasive restoration to prevent the catastrophic damage of abutment tooth. angular XRD were used for residual stress evaluation; three-point bending testing and compression testing were used for mechanical testing; finite element analysis were used for stress simulation; micro-CT were used for precision analysis; cell proliferation assay and cell staining were used for biocompatibility evaluation. The composite achieved a maximum compressive strength of 217±11.8 MPa and a minimum elastic modulus of 3.7±0.1 GPa, similar to the elastic modulus of natural dentin (1.9±0.4 GPa). The 0.25RD composite group showed a maximum energy absorption of 37.7±1.9 MJ/m³, 538 times that of the 0.25RD lattice group. (1) The thermal treatment processes of the vat photopolymerized LD scaffolds were optimized to ensure a glass ceramic with LD as the main crystalline phase and controllable RD. (2) The composites exhibited a good energy-absorption effect and protection of the abutment tooth under extreme lateral stress, with the 0.25RD composite showing the highest energy absorption of 37.7±1.9 MJ/m³, 538 times that of the 0.25RD lattice group. (3) A biomimetic endocrown prepared using the VPP method meets the precision requirements for clinical crown applications. The simulated stress distribution under lateral occlusal force indicated that the biomimetic crown has stress absorption and protection capabilities for the abutment tooth.
