Two-Stage Sinus Lift Using Apcs And Anorganic Bovine Bone
To evaluate the clinical outcomes of two-stage closed sinus lift combined with APCs and anorganic bovine bone mixture for severe bone deficiency in the posterior maxillary. Clinical ethics has approved this study. 35 patients with a RBH of less than 4 mm in the posterior area, aged 23-78 years old, 19 males and 16 females, underwent two-stage closed sinus lift combined with APCs (CGF and AFG) and anorganic bovine bone mixture, and 35 implants were implanted, followed with 1-9 years of clinical follow-up. According to the clinical observation,CBCT and histological examination to assess the bone formation efficacy and implant survival within 1-9 years. All implants were well-osseointegrated, and no implants failed within 1-9 years. The osteogenic ratio of 0.85±0.08 was achieved by toluidine blue staining in 6 months. The bone height of the two-stage lifts reached 8.13±1.28mm and was not significantly reduced at 3 years and 5 years after surgery (P>0.05). In the 1-9 years follow-up clinical study, favorable long-term clinical outcomes can be achieved by two-stage closed sinus lift combined with APCs and anorganic bovine bone mixture for severe bone deficiency in the posterior maxillary with less trauma compared with lateral window technique for sinus floor elevation, and provide a simpler and more convenient method to solve the problem of severe alveolar bone height deficiency in the maxillary posterior region.
