IIP Combined CTG Reconstructing Contour Esthetics In Immediate Implant
Immediate implant has been associated with a higher risk of complications, particularly buccal and gingival recession. Nevertheless, multiple techniques have been published to address these latent risks with favorable outcomes in the aesthetic zone. This case report proposed an approach to achieving an ideal aesthetic result with immediate implants. One patient requiring extraction of left maxillary deciduous incisor was treated with immediate implant placement(IIP), deproteinized bovine bone mineral(DBBM)and connective tissue grafting(CTG)using tunnel technique. Simultaneously, the use of temporary prosthetics maintains the appearance of the missing teeth. The gingival curve is well reconstructed and obtains favorable pink-white aesthetic results. Stable osteointegration can be seen in imaging findings. Obtaining from observation and intraoral scanning data at 1-year follow-up, the gingival width at the transgingival level is 4.59 mm, and on the midface is 1.80 mm. Finally, it achieved stable contour aesthetics in the short term. Tunnel technique has produced ideal results for immediate implantation. Besides increasing transgingival thickness, the large-sized CTG also improved mid-facial contour aesthetics. The case report proposes a reliable approach to combining multiple techniques for immediate implant placement.
