One Case Of Extraction Of Impacted Tooth Under Nasal Endoscopy
Regarding a case of inverted right maxillary sinus floor with ectopic impacted wisdom teeth, Traditional surgery is difficult. Transnasal endoscopic technology can assist in avoiding important anatomical structures in the surrounding area under direct vision, making it safer and more efficient to remove obstructed wisdom teeth. The patient has been experiencing recurrent pus discharge and headache in the right nasal cavity for the past month. Our hospital's otolaryngology outpatient department admitted the patient, and preoperative head CT examination revealed inverted maxillary sinus floor with ectopic wisdom teeth. Our department, together with the Otolaryngology Department, successfully removed the inverted impacted wisdom tooth at the bottom of the right maxillary sinus with the assistance of nasal endoscopy(Stoze, Germany). Nasal endoscopic surgery has the advantages of multi angle and direct visualization, achieving minimally invasive surgery and improving the accuracy and success rate of the surgery. In this case, the above methods were used to achieve the goal of cure, and combined with the application of nasal endoscopic assisted technology, this technology has the advantages of good field of view, minimal trauma, and few complications. It is an ideal surgical procedure for involving maxillary sinus ectopic teeth. The application of nasal endoscopic technology in the extraction of obstructed wisdom teeth in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Compared with traditional treatment methods, nasal endoscopic technology has many advantages such as clear field of view, minimally invasive and convenient operation, and has great clinical application potential.
