Clinical Efficacy Of CAD/CAM Endocrown: A Retrospective Cohort Study
To investigate the clinical outcomes of CAD/CAM intracoronal retained crowns for endodontically treated teeth, including short-term, mid-term, and long-term retention rates, and to develop a predictive model. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 100 clinical cases treated with CAD/CAM endocrown at the Beijing Stomatological Hospital, Capital Medical University, from December 2015 to January 2024. Retention rates were statistically analyzed, and risk factors were identified based on demographic and clinical characteristics to establish a predictive model. A total of 85 patients were included (40 males, 45 females; mean age 38.3±5.12 years). The short-term retention rate was 99%, mid-term 98%, and long-term 97.8%. Clinical crown height, restoration thickness, and second mandibular molars were identified as independent risk factors associated with crown dislodgement. CAD/CAM endocrown is an effective method for restoring endodontically treated teeth.
