Impact Of Mhealth On Speech Disorders After Oral Cancer Surgery
To explore the application of mHealth in the training of voice function in postoperative oral cancer patients, and to evaluate the effect of this model in the training of voice function in postoperative oral cancer patients, with a view to providing reference for healthcare personnel to utilize convenient and effective mHealth to remotely manage patients with voice dysfunction in postoperative oral cancer. A total of 83 patients with voice dysfunction after surgical treatment of oral cancer in the A tertiary dental specialty hospital from June 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the study subjects, which were divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 42 cases in the experimental group and 41 cases in the control group. The control group was given routine speech training and telephone follow-up after discharge, while the experimental group was given mHealth remote supervision and guidance on this basis. Follow-up visits were conducted on the 14th day, 1 month, and 3 months after surgery, and speech intelligibility and consonant errors were recorded using the Speech Intelligibility Test Scale and the Muyan Assessment System. The speech intelligibility score and the rate of incorrect consonants were higher in the experimental group than in the control group (P < 0.05). Speech function training in postoperative oral cancer patients can restore speech function. Remote supervision and management of mHealth (Muyan assessment system) is better than the traditional telephone follow-up method in restoring the voice function of oral cancer patients after surgery.
