Digial Design Of Implant Restorations Integrating CBCT And Soft Tissue
Contemporary digital workflows for implant-supported restorations predominantly utilize static models derived from intraoral scans, which fail to incorporate critical dynamic parameters such as soft tissue height variations and bone morphology captured by CBCT. This limitation compromises the accuracy of proximal contact design, emergence profile customization, and biomechanical load distribution. Emerging evidence highlights the importance of tissue-guided prosthetic design to mimic natural dentition and preserve peri-implant tissue health. This case report introduces a novel workflow integrating CBCT-based hard tissue analysis, soft tissue contour mapping, and dynamic virtual prosthodontic design to address these challenges. A 70-year-old patient was selected and needed to make implant restoration. CBCT and dental scan were taken. CBCT and dental data were registered using markers to generate a composite model with osteo-soft tissue relationship. Measure soft tissue thickness, perineal contour, adjacent surface bone height, design the proximal contact and emergence profile of restoration. This workflow is different from conventional methods in that it dynamically integrates bone and soft tissue data. Through dimensional contour control, the emergence curve supported by the organization minimizes the risk of black triangles The integration of CBCT-driven bone mapping and soft tissue-adaptive design represents a paradigm shift in implant prosthodontics. By enabling prosthesis customization to individual tissue dynamics, this approach enhances aesthetic outcomes via natural emergence replication. It further reduces complications such as black triangles.
