3D Printing Guide Assisting In Anterior Tooth Defects Restoration

To introduce a digital filling method that utilizes 3D-printed guides for precise optimization of direct composite resin fillings 1.A 3Shape intraoral scanner is used to scan the patient's maxillary and mandibular arches and obtain the occlusal relationship. 2.The exocad Dental CAD software is employed to replicate the morphology of the opposing teeth, designing digital virtual wax-ups and guides for the teeth. The "cutting tool" is used to divide the guide into buccal and palatal components from a buccal view, which are then printed and fabricated. 3.Rubber dam isolation is performed, and the buccal surface of the affected tooth is prepared with an enamel bevel, followed by etching with 35% phosphoric acid; the palatal guide is positioned, composite resin is applied to the palatal side, and then the buccal guide is placed on top, pressing gently to complete the filling. Polishing is then done to finish the restoration. In a short chairside time, obtana filling effect that is harmonious with the adjacent teeth and symmetrically matched with the morphology of the homologous tooth on the opposite side is obtained. Digital filling technology accomplishes aesthetic restoration of composite resin in a direct, precise, and predictable manner, offering advantages of reduced chairside operation time and improved accuracy for direct composite resin restoration.
