Periodontitis Promoted Renal Disease Progress In Stressful Statement

Recent studies have indicated a bi-directional relationship between periodontitis and CKD. Renal fibrosis is the main pathological character of CKD, and it’s associated with inflammation and aberrant glycolysis. The aim of this study was to investigated the effect of periodontal pathogen in the promotion of renal fibrosis in normal and hyperglycemia statement, and analysis the correction of periodontitis and CKD in different gender mice. An experiment was used BSA-induced renal fibrosis in diabetic CD1 mice, bilateral oophorectomy(OVT) was conducted for getting post menopause animal model, P. gingivalis was oral gavaged and silk ligation was tied to the second molars to induced experiment periodontitis. Renal function was measured, pathological methods were used to visualize renal fibrosis, immunohistochemistry was used to detect of P. gingivalis and the number of the bacteria was analyzed via q-PCR. P. gingivalis-treated diabetic mice exhibited destroyed renal function and more severe renal fibrosis compared to non-diabetic mice, renal fibrosis area was related to quantitative of the bacteria, the high level of inflammation cytokines and the upregulation of transglutaminase 2. There was no difference in blood pressure and heart rate in P. gingivalis-treated diabetic and non-diabetic mice. Compared to male mice, P. gingivalis-treated OVT female mice exhibited tender renal fibrosis both in diabetic and non-diabetic mice. Periodontitis promoted renal fibrosis correlates with the level of the infected pathogens and the status of body.
