Step By Step Bone Condensing Sinus Floor Elevation
This study proposes a modified step-by-step bone condensing transcrestal sinus floor elevation grafted with Bio-Oss Collagen with simultaneous implant. The modified step-by-step bone condensing transcrestal sinus floor elevation is distinguished by the use of the osteotomes with diameters of 2.8mm, 3.5mm and 4.2mm to gradually extrude the alveolar ridge to bone heights of 6mm, 8mm and 10mm in sequence, allowing the mucosa to be lifted more gently and residual bone to be preserved to the greatest extent. The advantage of this technique included:1.The use of technique similar to osteotome can help reduce bone loss. 2.Lower incidence of maxillary sinus membrane perforation.3.High surgical success rate. When the residual bone height before surgery ≥ 4mm, the modified step-by-step bone condensing transcrestal sinus floor elevation grafted with Bio-Oss Collagen can achieve a significant bone augmentation effect
