Effectiveness Of Cyst Management Modalities In Maxillary Sinus Floor Elevation

To evaluate the effect of different treatment modalities of maxillary sinus cysts on the bone augmentation obtained by maxillary sinus floor elevation with lateral wall opening. A total of 40 patients were included in this study, who underwent maxillary sinus floor elevation lateral wall opening and maxillary sinus cyst removal in the bilateral posterior region at the same time, and were divided into 2 groups according to the different treatment of maxillary sinus cysts in the operation: group 1 used the traditional single-window method; and group 2 used the double-window method. Cone-beam CT was taken in the immediate postoperative period (T1) and after 6 months of bone healing (T2) to evaluate the osteogenic effect, and the operation time and postoperative complication rate were recorded. To evaluate the effect of different treatment modalities of maxillary sinus cysts on the bone augmentation obtained by maxillary sinus floor elevation with lateral wall opening. In the bilateral posterior region of simultaneous maxillary sinus floor elevation lateral wall opening and maxillary sinus cyst removal, the osteogenic effect of using the double-window method was better, and the double-window method was more advantageous in terms of operative time and postoperative complication rate than the single-window method.
