Robotic-Assisted Immediate Implant With Prefabricated Prosthesis In Esthetic Zone
This case report evaluates robotic-assisted immediate implant placement in the maxillary esthetic zone, supported by a prefabricated provisional restoration. Robotic guidance aims to address challenges related to implant positioning and soft tissue preservation. A 25-year-old male patient presented with a fractured right maxillary central incisor (#11) caused by trauma two weeks prior. Clinical examination revealed a coronal fracture without mobility. The labial bone wall was intact with a thickness of 1.5 mm. Preoperative planning included restoration-oriented digital implant site design, robotic path programming, and temporary restoration. The procedure involved minimally invasive extraction, robotic-assisted (DentalNavi; YakeRobot Technology Ltd) implant placement (Straumann® RC implant) with bone grafting (Bio-Oss; Geistlich Pharma AG), and immediate provisionalization using a prefabricated prosthesis. Postoperative analysis revealed minimal deviations: an angular deviation of 1.870°, a coronal deviation of 0.751 mm, and an apical deviation of 0.471 mm. This case demonstrates the benefits of robotic guidance and digital prosthetics in improving implant accuracy and esthetic outcomes. Robotic assistance minimized labial bone trauma, which is critical for patients with thin biotypes. Prefabricating the temporary restoration reduced chairside time and ensured a passive fit. These results align with previous studies on guided immediate implants, further validated using robotic technology. Integrating robotic surgery with prefabricated restorations offers a reproducible protocol for high-risk esthetic cases, combining innovation with biological principles for predictable, efficient outcomes.
