New Periodontal Regeneration Material For Hydrogel Stents
Periodontal bone grafting makes use bone graft materials to promote new bone formation and regeneration. This study focuses on the preparation and evaluation of novel composite hydrogel scaffolds with the aim to promote periodontal tissue regeneration. The AP / CS /β-GP / PVA porous hydrogel scaffolds were prepared and studied in this study. The microstructure, hydrophilicity and mechanical properties of the stent were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), contact angle measurement and universal material testing machine. The interactions between different components was studied using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Biocompatibility, osteogenic properties and osteogenic-associated protein expression of scaffolds were assessed using CCK-8 analysis, alkaline phosphatase staining, alzarin red staining, live / dead cells staining and immunoblot analysis. The AP / CS / β / GP / PVA composite PRF was prepared and evaluated on the scaffold by radiological analysis, histological staining and immunohistochemical expression of BMP 2, OPG, RANKL, bFGF and VEGF. Ststent containing a higher percentage of antler powder promoted proliferation and differentiation (MC3T3-E1), with 10% and 8% best. Upregulation of RUNX 2, cyanate, OSX, and OPN protein expression may promote differentiation. AP / CS / β / GP-PVA composite PRF stent material has suitable mechanical properties and good biocompatibility and facilitated bone properties, which significantly enhanced the healing effect of osteogenic and periodontal tissues compared with the control group Novel composite stents are a viable periodontal regeneration material that potentially improves alveolar bone growth, periodontal membrane regeneration, and soft tissue preservation
