Fea Of The Influence Of Flat Plate On Mandibular Incisors
To investigate the impact of bonded fixed flat plate and movable flat plate on mandibular incisors using finite element analysis, providing a theoretical basis for the selection of clinical flat plate appliances. CBCT images of a volunteer were used to establish finite element models of two types of flat plates, maxilla and mandible, teeth, and periodontal membranes. Bite forces ranging from 160-400N were applied to the incisor region to simulate the patient's biting state. Starting from an initial value of 160N, the bite force was gradually increased in 10N increments until reaching 400N. The Von Mises Stress and total displacement of the mandibular incisors were then solved. For the bonded fixed flat plate, the minimum displacement was 0.01489mm and the maximum displacement was 0.037224mm, with a minimum stress of 10.574MPa and a maximum stress of 26.434MPa. For the movable flat plate, the minimum displacement was 0.020452mm and the maximum displacement was 0.05113mm, with a minimum stress of 28.682MPa and a maximum stress of 71.704MPa. Statistical differences were observed in both total displacement and equivalent stress between the two groups of flat plates. The bonded fixed flat plate exhibits relatively smaller Von Mises Stress and total displacement compared to the removable flat plate, suggesting that when using the bonded fixed flat plate in clinical practice, its impact on the mandibular anterior teeth is relatively minor. This indicates a lower risk of root resorption and excessive movement of the mandibular anterior teeth.
