3D Intraoral Scanning Model Analysis In Mixed Dentition
This study addresses key limitations in conventional mixed dentition assessment - subjective variability and laborious manual processes. We developed an AI-powered 3D analytics platform to standardize quantitative evaluation of transitional dentition, enabling developmental pattern tracking. This innovation integrates dental morphometrics with computational pattern recognition, advancing pediatric orthodontic diagnostics through objective metrics. This study presents an innovative computational framework integrating three-dimensional intraoral scanning (3D IOS) technology with advanced analytical algorithms for comprehensive mixed dentition assessment. Through systematic software development and clinical validation, we have engineered an automated diagnostic system capable of performing multidimensional analysis of transitional dentition patterns. The computational framework enables quantification of key orthodontic parameters through advanced analytical capabilities, including but not limited to: 1) Dental development staging through calcification pattern recognition 2) Dynamic occlusal relationship mapping 3) Three-dimensional arch morphology characterization 4) Curvature metrics quantification using parametric spline modeling 5) Automated crowding index calculation via machine learning-based spatial analysis This AI-enhanced 3D system demonstrates superior reproducibility in transitional dentition analysis versus manual methods. Integrating pattern recognition with high-resolution scanning, it establishes an objective pediatric assessment framework capable of processing more than five diagnostic parameters with submillimeter accuracy, significantly advancing clinical quantification standards. This technological innovation demonstrates significant potential for improving diagnostic precision and treatment planning in interceptive orthodontics during critical developmental phases. Not only enhances clinical decision-making through data-driven insights but also creates a foundation for predictive modeling of dental development trajectories.
