Construction Of Nursing Quality Sensitive Indicators For Dental Specialty Outpatient
To establish nursing-sensitive quality indicators tailored for dental specialty outpatient clinics, aiming to effectively promote continuous improvement in nursing quality and facilitate outcome evaluation. Guided by Donabedian's three-dimensional quality model of "structure-process-outcome", from November 2023 to December 2024, a preliminary set of nursing-sensitive quality indicators was developed through literature review and expert panel discussions. The Delphi method and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) were subsequently employed to determine the weightings of these indicators. Two rounds of Delphi surveys were completed with 18 experts, achieving a 100% valid response rate for both rounds. The average expert authority coefficient was 0.87, and the Kendall’s W coefficients for all indicators(p<0.05) demonstrated statistically significant consistency. The finalized nursing-sensitive quality indicators specific to dental specialty outpatient clinics comprised 3 first-level indicators, 6 second-level indicators, and 16 third-level indicators. The constructed nursing-sensitive quality indicators for dental specialty outpatient clinics align with the unique characteristics of dental care and exhibit scientific rigor. They serve as a reliable framework for continuous quality improvement and outcome evaluation in clinical practice.
