The Application Of Bone Graft And Collagen In Implantation Surgery

Evaluation of the effectiveness of Bio-Oss bone graft and Bio-Oss Collagen bone collagen applied in immediate implantation surgery. Selected 24 patients who underwent immediate implantation at the Department of Implantology, Stomatology Hospital of Urumqi from July 2020 to July 2021. These patients were randomly divided into the Bio-oss group and the Collagen group, with 12 patients in each group. In the Bio-oss group, all patients had Bio-Oss bone graft material filled after immediate implantation; in the Collagen group, patients had Bio-Oss Collagen filled after immediate implantation. Two weeks post-operation, both groups showed good wound healing. Compared with the immediate post-operative measurements, both groups experienced a certain degree of bone resorption at 6 months post-operation. The vertical bone resorption in the Bio-oss group was significantly higher than that in the Collagen group, with a statistically significant difference; however, there was no statistically significant difference in horizontal bone resorption between the Bio-oss group and the Collagen group. Both groups experienced a reduction in buccal and palatal soft tissue thickness; however, there was no statistically significant difference in the amount of soft tissue change between the two groups. The Bio-oss collagen material is more conducive to promoting bone healing. Therefore, clinically, the Bio-oss collagen material can be considered as the preferred material for immediate implantation bone grafting.
