Fully Digitally Guided Precise Fenestration For Jaw Cyst
This case report details the fenestration treatment of a jaw cyst in a pediatric patient. Utilizing digital localization, a personalized fenestration guide was designed to ensure safe surgical planning for angle and depth. The procedure was performed entirely under guideplate guidance, followed by the application of a 3D-printed obturator. Postoperative follow-ups at 1, 2, 3, and 9 months demonstrated significant cyst cavity reduction, jawbone regeneration, and favorable permanent tooth germ development. Patient Profile Patient: Ms. Huang, 10-year-old female, admitted with "maxillary cyst discovered 2 days prior." Key Features 1.Digitally Guided Jaw Fenestration: High precision and simplified operability under digital navigation. 2.Permanent Tooth Germ Preservation: Proposes a therapeutic strategy to preserve permanent tooth germs affected by jaw cysts. Fenestration decompression for jaw cysts provides significant assistance in promoting the development of both the jawbone and permanent tooth germs. Digitally guided precise fenestration for jaw cysts ensures minimally invasive intervention while avoiding damage to adjacent critical anatomical structures. Prefabricated 3D-printed cyst obturators drastically reduce clinical preparation time compared to traditional fabrication methods.
