Visual Caries Detection And Personalized Prevention In Orthodontics
This study uses VistaCam iX HD Smart System to monitor white spot lesions and early caries during orthodontics, improving caries risk assessment to achieve healthier outcomes and standardize clinical management. This study will employ both conventional visual examination and the VistaCam iX HD Smart System to longitudinally monitor enamel demineralization and caries activity in orthodontic patients. By integrating these diagnostic approaches, we aim to dynamically assess changes in caries activity and implement timely, risk-adapted interventions based on standardized caries risk assessment protocols. Post-treatment dental health status will be statistically analyzed to evaluate the efficacy of the monitoring strategy. Compared with conventional visual inspection, the VistaCam iX HD Smart System demonstrated superior efficacy in dynamic monitoring of early caries during orthodontic treatment. This quantitative fluorescence-based approach enabled clinicians to precisely track caries activity progression, significantly improving both diagnostic accuracy for incipient demineralization and clinical workflow efficiency. By integrating this detection technology with risk-stratified intervention protocols, we successfully established a personalized caries prevention and management system for orthodontic patients, ultimately ensuring optimal dental health preservation upon treatment completion. The integration of VistaCam iX HD Smart System with a personalized early caries prevention protocol demonstrates significant clinical efficacy in detecting and managing incipient demineralization during orthodontic treatment. This systematic approach not only enhances diagnostic precision but also establishes an evidence-based preventive strategy, ultimately ensuring long-term dental hard tissue integrity throughout the orthodontic process.
