Machine Learning-Powered Theranostic Platform For Intelligent Periodontitis Management

1.To achieve real-time monitoring of periodontitis while optimizing sensing performance through machine learning algorithms 2. To establish effective therapeutic interventions against periodontitis and investigate the mechanistic role of electrical stimulation in inflammatory modulation 3. To develop intelligent management systems for periodontitis, thereby providing novel strategies for continuous disease monitoring and efficient treatment 1.Establish a real-time monitoring system for periodontal pathogens based on microfluidics and machine learning-optimized colorimetric sensing 2.Develop a microneedle and triboelectric nanogenerator-based integrated platform for drug delivery and electrotherapy 3.Construct a fully integrated platform and validate its feasibility for intelligent periodontitis management through animal model studies The system comprised three synergistically engineered components: microneedle array for minimally invasive gingival crevicular fluid sampling and drug administration, microfluidic devices for on-site pathogen quantification, along with a triboelectric nanogenerator to convert occlusion generated biomechanical energy into electrotherapy. Furthermore, in vivo animal model conclusively validated the platform’s multifunctional efficacy in tracking disease progression, eradicating pathogenic biofilm, and mitigating inflammatory responses, which collectively advanced periodontitis management. In this work, we have constructed a machine learning assisted integrated platform for periodontitis based on biomimetic microneedles and triboelectric nanogenerator. Through microfluidic technology and machine learning strategies, sensitive detection of periodontal pathogens has been achieved. Meanwhile, stable and controllable drug release was achieved via temperature and electricity dual modulation. In all, such integrated approach represents a transformative advancement in precision dentistry, fundamentally shifting periodontitis management from conventional reactive approaches to proactive, personalized therapeutic strategies.
