Multi-Scenario Application Of Herbal Medicine Carbon Dots In Stomatology
At present, the dental diseases include pulpitis diseases, jaw defects, demineralization, etc. We prepared Eucommia ulmoides Oliver carbon dots (EUO-CDs), and modified it to derive a series of new dental biomaterials, which play a role in anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, wound healing, bone regeneration, pulp regeneration, remineralization. In this study, EUO-CDs were prepared using EUO as carbon source. Based on the biological activity, the effect of EUO-CDS on promoting bone regeneration was studied. Fe-doped EUO-CDs exhibited anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and wound healing effects. EUO-CDs-E was prepared by binding to Epigallocatechin gallate, which has anti-inflammatory and pro-angiogenic properties, the dentinogenic differentiation and angiogenesis ability were investigated. Based on the adhesion property of Polydopamine and the remineralization property of Xylitol, EUO-Xy-CDs were prepared to study their ability to promote the remineralization of teeth. The synthesis of materials was demonstrated by representations. In vitro ALP experiment and ARS experiment were used to confirm the osteogenic property. The POD-like activity test and angiogenesis test showed that it had anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and wound healing effects. The in vivo experiment was carried out in a semi-orthotopic model of dental pulp regeneration in nude mice to confirm its effect on promoting dental pulp regeneration. Remineralization experiments showed that it could promote remineralization. Based on EUO-CDs, a series of dental biomaterials have been derived, which play a role in stomatology, providing ideas for the development of new dental biomaterials.
