Gingival Ebv-Positive Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

EBV-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is a rare and aggressive type of B-cell lymphoma that typically occurs in elderly patients and is associated with a poor prognosis. It commonly affects extranodal sites such as the gastrointestinal tract, skin, and bone marrow. However, cases of EBV+ DLBCL presenting with initial symptoms in the gingiva are extremely rare. Its similarity to EBV-positive mucocutaneous ulcers in terms of pathology and immunophenotype can make definitive diagnosis challenging. In this paper, we report a case initially diagnosed as EBV-positive mucocutaneous ulcer, which was later confirmed as EBV+ DLBCL patient through lymphoma gene rearrangement technology. The clinical manifestations and pathological histological features of the patient were presented in order to enhance understanding of the disease, as well as to contribute to early diagnosis and treatment of such malignant diseases.
