Impact Of Ai Preoperative Planning Platform On Autotransplantation Of Teeth
Combining artificial intelligence (AI) for surgical planning of autotransplantation of teeth (ATT) and investigating the effect of an AI preoperative planning reference platform on the postoperative survival and pulp viability of transplants. Automated segmentation algorithms for teeth and jaws from 3D images were created, a reference platform for artificial intelligence-assisted surgical planning of ATT was developed, and the platform's effectiveness was validated in a prospective, randomized controlled trial. The favorable rates of pulp vitality in the control and intervention groups were 55% and 85%, respectively, while the survival rates were 70% and 95%, respectively. The pulp vitality and survival rates significantly differed between the two groups (P<0.05). Concerning the alveolar socket preparation time, donor tooth ex-vivo time, and donor tooth trial fit, the intervention groups all presented significantly superior performance (P<0.05). The intervention group comprised 17 cases of vital pulp teeth, all of which were capable of performing some degree of masticatory function. Postoperative pulp vitality, mixing ability, and mobility were greater in the intervention group than in the control group. During the 7-month observation period, the use of the planning reference platform before surgery resulted in reduced surgical trauma, improved imaging of the apical region of the transplanted teeth, a lower risk of pulp tissue infection, and higher rates of survival and pulp viability.
