Prognosis Analysis Of 216 Uncomplicated Crown-Fractured Young Permanent Teeth
To analyze the prognosis and factors affecting the prognosis of uncomplicated crown-fractured young permanent teeth, and provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. A retrospective study was conducted on the cases of pediatric dental patients who visited our hospital from 2021 to 2024 due to crown-fracture. The basic information of the patients and the condition of the crown-fractured teeth were recorded, as well as the prognosis of the dental pulp and the time of adverse prognosis, with a minimum follow-up of 1 year. The thickness of the remaining crown after the crown-fracture was measured using Image J, and the ratio of fractured thickness to that of a normal control tooth was calculated. The prognostic influencing factors of dental pulp after crown-fracture were analyzed by multivariate Logistic regression analysis. The crown-fractured teeth were identified for survival by Cox regression analysis. There was a correlation between types of pulp capping agents and the prognosis of crown-fractured teeth (P<0.05). The age and degree of root development of the patient were not related to the prognosis of crown-fractured teeth (P>0.05). A visit time of more than 24 hours and a residual thickness ratio of crown-fractured teeth less than 0.6 are risk factors for poor prognosis of crown-fractured teeth. The residual thickness ratio of less than 0.6, and the type of pulp capping agent in crown-fractured teeth significantly affect the prognosis of the crown-fractured teeth.
