Clinical Effect Of Bfgf On Minor Recurrent Aphthous Ulcer
Observe the clinical efficacy of Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Gel and Triamcinolone Acetonide Dental Paste on minor recurrent aphthous ulcer (RAU) . A total of 100 patients were randomly divided into two groups(n=50). Group A was treated with Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Gel three times one day until ulcers healed; Group B was treated with Triamcinolone Acetonide Dental Paste. Participants were asked to record the pain intensity using a visual analogic scale (VAS) before treatment, on Day 1, 3 and 7. Healing time was recorded when re-epithelization appeared in clinical examination. No significant difference was observed between Group A and B in respect of spontaneous and functional pain. The VAS index of spontaneous pain in Group A was significantly lower (P < 0.05); There was no significant difference between Group A and B concerning on healing time (P > 0.05). Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Gel had similar effects on pain relief and wound healing comparing with Triamcinolone Acetonide Dental Paste.
