Mimicry in the Bite: Shared Sequences Between Aedes aegypti Salivary Proteins and Human Proteins
These results support the existence of molecular mimicry between Aedes aegypti salivary proteins and human antigens and provide a framework for studies to determine its contribution to responses directed to self-antigens in the context of arboviral infections.
