Critical Engagements and Messy Entanglements

Abstract The following review examines four digital humanities projects of Asia and Asian America: The South Asian American Digital Archive, Real Face of White Australia, Virulent Hate project, and Behind Aiiieeeee! The projects selected range from long-standing community-engaged digital archiving projects to speculative project planning sites. Across each project, questions of intent, of platform and tools, and methodological approach are considered.
