Phraseological units in the Georgian language (against the background of the Russian language)

The article examines the system of phraseological units (PU) in the Georgian language against the background of the Russian language, and also analyzes the component composition of Georgian PU. Until now, the issues of typological characteristics of the phraseological system of the Georgian language have been controversial. The phraseological system of any language is a reflection of national stereotypes, ideological dominants, represents the moral foundations, life principles and moral criteria of the people. We believe that the typology of Russian and Georgian PU can be based on a single principle of their characteristics from the point of view of semantic fusion. The phraseological concept proposed by V.V. Vinogradov turns out to be universal, since it is applicable not only to the study of the structural typology of phraseological units of the Russian language, but is also applicable to the Georgian language. It should be noted that structurally phraseological units of the Georgian language also have a component composition, like Russian PU. However, in the Georgian language among the components of phraseological units there are quite a large number of units dating back to the most ancient periods of the development of the Georgian language, as well as ethnorealia. Georgian phraseology has a large number of phraseological units that actualize linguaculturemes, combining linguistic and extralinguistic characteristics, represent the unique parameters of the linguacultural system of the Georgian language. There are few such phraseological units, usually they are non-equivalent (according to Vinogradov's typology, these are phraseological fusions). In a number of Georgian phraseological units, individual components are a kind of symbol of the Georgian linguaculture.
