Longitudinal change of idiopathic inflammatory myopathy-associated interstitial lung disease on high-resolution computed tomography, a prospective cohort study

IIM-ILD cases with prior rapid progression will develop chronic fibrotic trajectories with persistent inflammation compared to non-progressive cases. ASS is characterized by sustained inflammatory activity in imaging manifestations, whereas MDA5 + DM shows post-acute fibrotic remodeling following initial injury. Longitudinal GGO emerges as a critical prognostic indicator, demonstrating time-dependent cumulative risk effects.

Abstract

IIM-ILD cases with prior rapid progression will develop chronic fibrotic trajectories with persistent inflammation compared to non-progressive cases. ASS is characterized by sustained inflammatory activity in imaging manifestations, whereas MDA5 + DM shows post-acute fibrotic remodeling following initial injury. Longitudinal GGO emerges as a critical prognostic indicator, demonstrating time-dependent cumulative risk effects.
