The Problem of Statelessness and International Mechanisms for its Prevention

The problem of statelessness is considered as one of the serious challenges in the field of human rights protection in the modern world. The main causes of statelessness, its consequences for individuals and society, as well as international legal mechanisms for preventing and reducing statelessness are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the role of UNHCR and other international organizations in solving the problem of statelessness, including an analysis of the effectiveness of international conventions and campaigns to reduce the number of stateless persons. Current trends and prospects in the field of preventing statelessness, as well as the necessary measures at the national and international levels for a more effective solution to this problem are considered.
