Alkyldisulfanium Salt-Triggered Difunctionalization of Alkenes to Access Sulfenylated Alkyl Phosphorothioates, Phosphorodithioates, and Selenophosphates
The incorporation of a phosphorothioate/phosphorodithioate/selenophosphate group into parent molecules has been demonstrated to effectively improve their bioavailability and synthetic application. In this study, we present a practical and convenient difunctionalization reaction of alkenes promoted by methylalkyl(alkylthio)sulfonium trifluoromethanesulfonate, which is easily obtained via the reaction of dialkyl disulfide (R'SSR') with methyl trifluoromethanesulfonate (MeOTf). This methodology enables the effective synthesis of a diverse range of thioether-containing alkyl phosphorothioates/phosphorodithioates/selenophosphates with a wide substrate scope and functional group compatibility.
