The thermal runaway mechanism of fast-charging lithium-ion batteries using LiFSI-based electrolytes

The thermal runaway mechanism of LiFSI-based batteries is firstly revealed in which tremendous heat is released due to N 2 generated via decomposition of LiFSI. Quenching N-containing free radicals is put forward to improve battery safety.
