Generated multi-transparency windows, Fano resonances, and slow/fast light in a membrane-in-the-middle opto-magno-mechanical system

This study presents a theoretical investigation of magno-mechanically induced transparency, Fano resonances, and slow/fast light phenomena within a membrane-in-the-middle opto-magno-mechanical system. The system consists of a mechanical membrane inside a cavity and a ferrimagnetic crystal with a magnon mode that couples directly to a microwave cavity mode through magnetic dipole interactions and indirectly to an optical cavity via the crystal’s deformation. The optical cavity is influenced by mechanical displacement driven by magnetostrictive forces through radiation pressure. Interactions among photons, phonons, magnons, and microwaves within the cavity give rise to opto-mechanically induced transparency (OMIT), magno-mechanically induced transparency (MMIT), and magnon-induced transparency (MIT). We analyze the effects of opto-mechanical couplings on the absorption properties of the optical spectrum. Additionally, we provide an explicit explanation of the mechanism underlying the Fano resonance phenomenon. Moreover, we discuss slow light propagation: by tuning the opto-mechanical and microwave–magnon couplings, we achieve an enhancement of the slow light effect. Our results aim to contribute to the development of quantum information processing technologies.
