Artistic Discourse and Internet Slang in the Theoretical and Methodological Context: A Study Based on Alexey Ivanov’s Novel "Community"

The subject of this study is the artistic discourse of contemporary Russian literature in the context of the digital age, where literary creativity actively interacts with online communication and new forms of linguistic expression. The object of the research is Alexey Ivanov’s novel "Community", which reflects the processes of hybridization between literary and internet discourses. The author examines how elements of internet slang, media texts, digital metaphors, and visual codes are integrated into the artistic structure of the work, forming new modes of narration, types of speech behavior, and models of character self-identification. Particular attention is paid to linguistic, stylistic, and sociocultural aspects of internet language use in fiction and its role in representing the modern linguistic worldview and cultural identity of contemporary society. The study employs contextual, interpretative, discursive, pragmatic, and comparative methods, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of the interaction between artistic and digital discourses in the novel. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that "Community" is analyzed for the first time as a text demonstrating the hybridization of literary and digital languages, reflecting the transformation of artistic thinking and speech strategies under the influence of digitalization. The integration of internet slang, media references, and visual symbols within the novel creates new narrative principles and expands the expressive boundaries of literary language. The study concludes that internet slang performs not only a communicative but also an aesthetic function, shaping character identity and narrative style. The results contribute to the development of modern linguistics, media philology, and digital discourse studies, opening new perspectives for exploring the interaction between language, media, and literature.
